Welcome to a new Mary Sues journal dedicated to finding and identifying Yu Yu Hakusho Mary Sues. There was already a journal labeled 'yuyuhakushosues' but it hasn't been updated in months.
Of course, poor Hiei and Kurama will be targeted the most but that shouldn't stop people from destroying Yusuke or even Kuwabara. You can help by sending me links to possible Sues through my e-mail.
Q: Why Yu Yu Hakusho?
Yu Yu Hakusho is my first fandom where I have watched and understood the characters to the point that I know what they do and don't do. I feel like it's my duty to protect the eyes of the young from the awfulness of the Mary Sues. That and poor Hiei and Kurama are usually targeted, the poor souls.
Q: What's a Mary Sue?
A: A Mary Sue is a girl who falls in love with the author's favorite canon character most of the time. She has a flawless appearance at times but does change from fandom to fandom. She's sometimes super powerful and can kick any of the Reikai Tantei's rears with no effort whatsoever.
Q: Well, haven't you written any Mary Sues?
A: Yes, but they usually stay in my own private collection to never be let out into the world. I'm not perfect.
Q: Why is my story on here? I have good reviews!
A: And your story has a Mary Sue. Some people can't see a difference in a real OC from a Mary Sue. That and probably your spelling and grammar sucks.
Q: What's the 'Bat of Doom?'
A: It's a bat...filled with doom. I use it to beat Sues and the like with it. Sometimes, I beat myself to escape the pain of a horrible Sue.
Q: What's the difference between the 'Sue's Rating' and 'Rating?'
A: The 'Rating' is how bad the story and Sue are. The 'Sue's Rating' is how the Sue does on the Mary Sue Litmus Test. 0-15 means it's a very good OC that shouldn't cause problems. 16-30 is that the character's somewhat Sue but it could become a good OC. 31+ means this is a Mary Sue but it can be saved. 36+ is that she's extremely Sueish and should be thrown away. Anything over 50 is so annoying, it should be burned to death and beaten with the 'Bat of Doom.'
Ratings:

It's OK. The OC acts like a Mary Sue in some places but isn't all Mary Sue. If she falls in love with the character(s), it isn't for a while. It doesn't bother me as much to read it than others. Spelling and grammar are good as well. The characters do things that people can see them doing.

The Mary Sue is more painful to read about. Spelling and grammar have gone downhill and the characters are OOC at times. Characters are drawn to her automatically and often fall in love at first sight. Please consider dropping the story or changing the plot line.

You have butchered the canon. It's painful to read and the characters are OOC nearly all the time. Spelling and grammar are considered optional here and the Sue is almost like a goddess in this story. Drop the story. Please.

Hiei will now kill you. There is no sense of spelling or grammar, the characters are just wrong, and it has WTF? moments. The Sue has god-like powers, is beyond beautiful, and just unreal. Drop it now. Or suffer painfully.

Hiei doesn't even want to be within a 1,000 mile radius of this Sue. He'd rather die than stand one more moment with this Sue. There are too many WTF? moments to consider a plausible storyline. It makes people laugh with pain and then consider killing the Sue themselves. Stop writing now!
